Daily Mumblings

New Daily Mumblings section.

I’ve started a new section where I will try to post something every day that I’ve learnt, had to look up or otherwise that may help someone (or me again in the future ;-) )

Quadding Tomorrow

David and I are quadding tomorrow at an event organised by the local quad club. A morning’s ‘randonnĂ© (trek), followed by lunch and an afternoon’s fun in a farmers field. Should be good as over 100 quadders are expected!

Ever the techno freak, not only will I be using SmartCom GPS on my Nokia N95 to record tracks and show me a map, I will be using GPSed.com to provide real-time tracking so the girls can watch us from home.

Photo’s might be limited, but we’ll try our best.

Nokia N91 Software Update

After waiting endlessly for Vodafone to certify the Nokia N91 firmware, I’ve found a solution to use the Nokia Software Updater to flash the generic firmware onto my phone. Therefore by-passing the Vodafone wait and instantly getting the latest generic firmware. The instructions are at the forums of gsmhosting.com.

*EDIT*
This has also worked successfully on my Nokia N95

60th Party

Last night we had a suprise joint 60th birthday party for my parents Mike & Pat Bertouche, mostly organised by my sister Anna. Well done. Photo’s are in the gallery here.
